Project title: 

Quantifying olfactory dysfunctionin neurodegenerative disease.

Project Description:

This project aims to investigatethe mechanisms of olfactory dysfunction in neurodegenerative diseases and explore the feasibility of using portable functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy(fNIRS) and/or EEG as a tool for quantifying olfactory dysfunction. The ultimate goal is to investigate towards designing a medical platform that can serve as a screening tool for early detection of brain diseases.

Who are we looking for?

A first-year Master's student with a background in science or technology engineering, who is passionate about neurotechnology. The ideal candidate possesses skills in neuroscience, data processing, machine learning, AI, signal processing, electrical and electronic engineering, software, or hardware.

6-12 month project / ~8 hours/week
